Rutuja further shares how much she loves sweets. "My favourite part of Diwali is eating kaju katlis and ladoos. I have a sweet tooth and can't resist these. In my childhood, I used to finish boxes of sweets. But now, I have to keep in mind my workout routine and my diet, so I am going to eat just a few." Times of India

Rutuja explained to ETimes TV per Times of India that pandemic weight gain left her depressed. "When we were shooting in Hyderabad, I got sick. As we were in the bio bubble, we couldn't step out. Hence, I was eating anything and everything that was available. This led to gaining 10 kgs," she said. "I was not focused and at times I was losing my calm also. Then came a point, when I got depressed about my weight gain. It was then that my family and friends supported me through the phase."

"I am almost back in shape and I have lost the weight, which I gained during the lockdown. The only process that I adopted is controlling my eating habits and started exercising," Rutuja added to ETimes. "From that period of time I learnt never to lose hope and stay calm all the time. You just have to stay calm and think in the right direction."

Rutuja suffers from Dysania, a condition defined by "an extreme difficulty rising from bed or an inability to leave the bed." However, she works hard to overcome it. "We recently shot for a sequence in which I had to be tied with some ropes. There was a lot of hard work and dedication required to shoot for this scene. It was a tiring scene because we shot back to back for the whole day," she continued. "As an actor, I am ready to perform any sort of challenging scene because that will enhance my capability and ability."

Rutuja regularly strength trains. Here she is performing a series of exercises, including weight lifting. She also does a lot of battle rope exercises. "Before we get started on the exercises, it would be helpful to have a better anatomical understanding of these ropes. For starters, ropes come in many lengths and thicknesses. The longer the rope or the thicker the rope, the more challenging the exercises become. Also, using a poly rope with shrinkwrapped endcaps has advantages over the less-expensive manila gym ropes traditionally used for climbing. The poly rope material tends to be softer on the hands and more durable than the manila rope. The manila rope, however, can work fine and be more cost-effective," says NIFS.
