Drakes Former Manager Jas Prince Says Cash Money Owes Him $11m For Discovering The Toronto Rap St
Jas Prince (born James), is a manager/producer on the Houston rap scene and discovered Drake way back when.
According to him, during the deal for handing Drake over, he was supposed to be paid 22% of Drake’s royalties, net profits, and other advances. He estimates the cost at around $11m.
He’s suing Cash Money, even though Drake is signed to Young Money at the moment. He’s suing Birdman and Drake’s manager Cortez Bryant, who was instrumental in moving Drake to Young Money after Cash Money acquired him from Jas’ Aspire Music Group.
Cash Money deny owing Prince any money at all. These days it seems everyone is lining up to get some coins from Birdman.
